Lena Mae Regan

Lena Mae Regan, 99 year old former Woodward resident, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026 in Chickasha. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2026 at the Faith United Methodist Church. A private family burial will take place. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Lena Mae (Sweet) Regan was born May 1, 1927 at her parents home in Mutual, Oklahoma; she was the daughter of Ralph Walter and Iva May (Lynes) Sweet. She grew up on the family farm near Mutual and attended Sibel Country School, near Vici from 1st through 8th grade. She graduated from Vici High School in 1945. She was united in marriage to Elmer Lee Regan on April 9, 1949 at the First Baptist Church Parsonage in Woodward, Oklahoma. They were blessed with three children: Deborah, Greg, and Pam. They made their first home on 6th street in Woodward, before purchasing their first home in 1959.

She enjoyed playing bridge, embroidering and sewing, flower gardening but not vegetables. Lena was a member of the Bridge Club, Stephens Ministry, and the Methodist Circle. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family, who she loved dearly.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Martin and husband Bruce of Anadarko; seven grandchildren: Phillip Bruton and wife Deni, Kerry Price and husband Dustin, Lindsay Bilbrey and husband Levi, Christa Wall and husband Tyler, Tyson Martin and wife Courtni, Paige Flenniken and husband Joseph, grandson-in-law, John McVicker; 16 great-grandchildren: Dalton and Paxton Bruton, Dawson, Regan, and Sydney Price, Finn, Isaac, Jackson, and Norah Bilbrey, Ava and Reece Martin, Andrew McVicker and wife Abbi, Julia McVicker; Gavin, Heath, and Violet Wall; 12 nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews all of whom have grown closer as we've lost our parents.

Lena was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer Regan, daughter, Deborah Bruton, son, Greg Regan and his wife Anita, granddaughter, Kristine McVicker, and all of her siblings, Arnold and Anna Mae Sweet, Charlotte and Ernest Poage, Ruth (Conine) Leaser, Vernon Sweet, Marion and Joy Sweet, Elvin and Beverly Sweet, and Evelyn Baird.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
